Why we use the strip method
Simple "area divided by roll area" calculators underestimate, because each roll can only be cut into a whole number of full-height strips — the leftover piece is usually wasted. Our calculator works out how many strips go around the room, how many strips fit in one roll (including pattern repeat and trimming allowance), and how many rolls that requires.
