Which waste factor should I choose?
- 10% — straight grid layout in a simple rectangular room.
- 15% — diagonal or offset layouts, rooms with many corners, large-format tiles (breakage risk).
- 20% — herringbone, chevron, or complex patterns.
For walls, calculate each wall separately (width × height), subtract windows and doors, and add them up. Remember to keep a few spare tiles after the job for future repairs — discontinued tiles are hard to match.
